How it works

Get your house set up in minutes, not hours.

  1. 1

Create a free account using Google or email and password. It takes less than 30 seconds.

Tip: Use Google sign-in for the fastest setup.
  2. 2

    Create your house

Give your house a name, set your currency and timezone. Or join an existing house using a 16-character invite code from a housemate.

  3. 3

    Invite housemates

Share your 16-character invite code with your housemates. Anyone who signs up can join your house using the code from their account settings.

Tip: You can regenerate the invite code at any time from Settings.
  4. 4

    Add your first bill

Create a bill with a title, amount, and due date. Split it equally or set custom amounts per person. Mark it as paid when everyone has contributed.

Tip: Use categories (Utilities, Rent, Groceries…) to keep things organised.
  5. 5

    Set up chores

Create chores with a name, frequency (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly), and assignment mode. Choose auto-rotate to cycle through housemates, claimable for anyone to pick up, or fixed for a specific person.

  6. 6

    Use the calendar

Add house events like viewing dates, inspection days, or social gatherings. Housemates can RSVP and upcoming events appear on the dashboard.

  7. 7

    Shopping list

Add grocery and household items with categories. Any housemate can tick items off as they shop, keeping everyone in sync.

Tip: Recurring items auto-reset so they're always ready for the next shop.
  8. 8

    Upload documents

Store your tenancy agreement, insurance documents, gas safety certificate, and other important files. Set expiry dates for reminders before they run out.

Tip: Documents are visible to all housemates but only the uploader can delete them.
  9. 9

    Move-in / Move-out checklist

Create a structured checklist for moving in or out. Pre-filled defaults cover keys, meter readings, cleaning, and paperwork. Upload photo evidence per item and track your deposit on move-out.

Tip: Link a move-out checklist to its move-in checklist for side-by-side room photo comparison — invaluable for deposit disputes.
  10. 10

    Settle up

The Settle up page shows live balances — who owes what across all bills. Record manual payments to clear debts, or pay via Stripe if your house has it set up.
